New England's second largest art museum, founded in 1896, spans 5000 years of art and culture from Egyptian antiquities and Roman mosaics to impressionist painting to Pop Art. April 28 through Aug. 5: "Jennifer Reeves: Recent Paintings." Through June 3: "The Wall at WAM: Denise Marika." Through June 10: "Lewis Wickes Hine: The Final Years." Through June 17: "The Stamp of Impulse: Abstract Expressionist Prints," featuring works by Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, Nell Blaine, Louise Nevelson, Richard Diebenkorn, Clair Falkenstein, Helen Frankenthaler, Cy Twombly, and Joan Mitchell. April 28: "Abstract Expressionist Prints: Impressions of Intuition" symposium from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free.
