This center for environmental exploration features the "Water Planet," "Freshwater Ecosystems," and "Look, Touch, Explore" exhibitions, the Endangered Species Building, and 60 acres of woodlands and wetlands to explore. Opens April 16: "Small is Big: The Hidden Life of Vernal Pools." Now showing in the planetarium, "Where in the Universe is Carman Sandiego?," "Stories in the Stars," and "Storytime in the Planetarium." Call for schedule. April 27: "Leo the Lion" SkyWatch at 8 p.m. $12, children under 12 $6. April 28: Breakfast with the Bears from 9 to 11 a.m. $13, children $11; pre-register. April 29: Canopy High: Excursion on the Tree Canopy Walkway at 2:30 p.m. $10; pre-register.
