The Feminist Interactive Radio Network (FIRE), now in its 10th year of operation, can be heard over the Internet after broadcasting from the tiny Costa Rican shortwave station, Radio for Peace International. Mainly operated by staff members located in Latin America and in the Caribbean, the station aims to broadcast news on conferences, struggles, and successes of women around the globe. This Web site contains programming announcements in both English and in Spanish. Its story can be read in the new book Women's Voices on FIRE (Anomaly Press) and in Voices on FIRE magazine.
