Web site of the week

www.zeldman.com/ad.html

The "Ad Graveyard" features ads that almost made it into our daily newspapers and magazines but whose sponsors went cold at the last minute. "Ads from the Crypt" include promos for ABC's The Beatles Reunion ("They said it would take three more bullets"), Cafe Philadelphia ("It's like Seattle without all those heroin addicts"), Nike (the infamous Heaven's Gate death photo inscribed with the infamous "Just Do It"), and the Sacramento Bee's pimple-breaking "Acne: It's not just for teens anymore."
